Your camera watches how your eyelids behave — how long blinks last, how often they come, how low the lids sit between them — and renders the result as a small sky: bright and structured when rested, collapsing toward a dark core when the eyes are running on empty. What it measures

PERCLOS
Share of the last minute the eyes were at least 80% closed. The one signal here with real drowsiness-detection research behind it, so it carries most of the score.
Blink duration
Mean length of recent blinks. Alert blinks are quick; they stretch past 300 ms as drowsiness sets in.
Lids at rest
How far the lids sit closed between blinks, relative to your own calibrated open-eye baseline from the first eight seconds.
Blink rate
Blinks per minute. Very low rates go with screen fixation; very high rates with fatigue and irritation.
Gaze jitter
How much the irises drift over two seconds while you look at the screen — a rough stand-in for fixation stability.
